Darrel Edwards
Darrel Edwards is the founder of West Midlands Business Advisors. He has a proven track record for achieving great results as a business leader in manufacturing and construction.
West Midlands Business Advisors was originally focused in the Mergers and Acquisitions arena, helping business owners with the buying and selling of businesses. Over the past twelve months Darrel has broadened this focus for the organisation to deliver business support services which assist with the lifecycle of any business.
Prior to setting up West Midlands Business Advisors, Darrel has led organisations of between 60 and 600 employees across a variety of Manufacturing Sectors over the past twenty years. He has a record of significant achievement, accomplishing substantial results in Sales Development, Operational Growth, Cost Improvement and every aspect of delivering solutions to meet customer requirements.
These improvements include:
- The set up and development of Business Advisory Service.
- Delivery of an operational plan which increased output by 30% (£12m per annum) for a Midlands based Aerospace business.
- Leading a team responsible for the delivery of construction projects valued at £120m.
- In a period of significant economic decline in the manufacturing sector, delivered business profitability despite a 40% reduction in revenue. Following this decline, rebuilt the business in a controlled manner to achieve and surpass previous turnover and profitability.
In his personal life Darrel is a keen sports fan, is a supporter of a number of charities, and a mentor to University students.
